Monkey Education was created out of the same great inspiration that Corn Nuts, Yankee Candles and Legos have been created. A creative idea, thoughtful development and hard work.

Truthfully, a friend came to us with an idea for his children to do flash cards on the computer. He wanted us to search for a good Flash Card program. We searched, and searched, and searched and could not find anything that we liked. We talked about it and decided that the need necessitated the development.

The development for Flash Card Master started, but we stumbled upon a problem. We needed cards for the application. We started toying around with the idea of how to save cards and realized that we needed an application to help develop the cards. So our second product came into fruition . . . Flash Card Creator!

Next we started thinking about the possibilities of this tool for people other than just our friends' kids, even though they are the dear ones to our hearts. We thought, "Why not offer it to other people as well?" We decided to make a simple application that does one thing well and let people use it the way that they want, give teachers the chance to instruct students the way that they need and let the students study the way that suits them best.

So, that is Monkey Education's origins in a nutshell - a small need that developed into an idea and a new way of thinking about education.
